I am happily married to Bob for 21 years on October 22nd. He helped me raise my two sons that are now grown men. Trent is 33 and Philip is 31. I also have a Daughter-in-law that is a welcome addition to my life and an adorable Granddaughter Hanna who was born Aug. 10, 2005 while I was enroute to the first ever Camp Turbo with Chalene Johnson and Tess who was born hours after our 20 year Anniversary celebration, so I missed her birth as well. She will be a year old next month. We also have two children. Willow and Beau who are our two cats. :-) And they are our children too! I have spent most of my life working in the restaurant business and service business for the Golf and Country club as head of housekeeping, so all my life I have had a very phyiscal job which kept my weight at bay. I had a terrible accident July 2002, which I can finally say I have recovered from after spinal surgery in March, 2005 that left me able to walk again and gave me back my life. I love to garden, although I am always the non-traditional gardener. I love music and it is a driving force in me to accomplish many tasks I hate to do. My main focus on life as I head into my second half of my life is to be involved in the Fitness and Nutrition world somehow, someway. It is not only a focus, but a passion. I want to help anyone I can understand that they only have one body to live their life with and how they treat that body is a reflection of who they are. If you can learn to respect yourself, others will learn to respect you. I love to help people realize that they have the power of the mind to make the changes they want. They need to release their past and make today the day that counts. A positive attitude creates will. A negative attitude creates nil. This is my byline because this is how I live my life now. I want to always remember the choice is mine and I choose to find the positive. Life is too short not to. My Progress My Fitness Goal: Tone Up Transformation Story

When I first came to BeachBody I had finished 8 months of doing Get With The Program (Bob Greene-Oprah's trainer) and I needed some extra support to keep me on my new road to my changing lifestyle. At that time, I had lost most of the weight I wanted to,(which was 40 lbs.) but was stuck on that last dreaded 10 pounds that would move up to 15 pounds if I wasn't consistent with my exercise and eating clean. I had been using Kathy Smith as my favourite workout instructor and her site brought me to BeachBody where I was so impressed with everything it had to offer. From people to listen and help to an actual virtual gym I could workout with others at the same time. When Kathy launched Project:You I had already been on her thread as a member and I was thrilled she was coming out with a program that I could use as maintenance. Because of this wonderful program, even through the pain, I was inspired and I did lose the last 10 pounds and get my body fitter then it had every been in my life. I was also in a wheelchair at that time because I could no longer walk from the pain, of what surgery proved to be the sciatic nerve growing around a herniated disc I had from an accident I had 2 years before when I was hit by a clothesline turnbuckle that let loose and knocked me off a 4' deck. I knew I had to get my body and particularly my Abs as strong as possible and working out was the only way I could find any kind of relief of the horrendous pain I was in. Morphine couldn't do for me what exercise could by releasing natural painkillers! Ten days after surgery in March, I was given the okay to resume Kathy's Project:You slowly and I did. I finished the program and did it again. Now Turbo Jam has come out and I have had the pleasure of being caught up in the experience of working out to a completely different format of exercise and I am loving it. I have found the motivation from the coaches and people on these boards and from Kathy Smith and Chalene Johnson actually showing up to their own threads amazing.
