I relocated to Visalia California a year ago for a new job and to be closer to my family...only to get laid off due to the economy. My days are spent remodeling the fixer upper house I bought a few months ago...trying to find a place for myself in this new community.....and of course searching for jobs. I figure this is a good time in my life to decide and commit to the time, focus, and pain required to succeed in this program.
I got my bachelor's degree in wildlife management and worked for the National Park Service for 7 years doing wildlife and other natural resource work. I switched careers two and a half years ago and began using my legal training to work for the Superior Court of California. What the future holds...time will tell...but I am making the most of this time to do soul searching and become an even better me.
This will be a great way to do something positive for myself. I am a mother of three fabulous boys (ahem...young men) and that has taken its own toll on my body. I also have devoted so much to others. This is something I can do for myself that is healthy and hopefully will become a life long habit.
I love challenges....I began this journey August 2009.
