I'm a native Floridian and am wife to a most wonderful husband and mom to our 3 fantastic children (ages 13, 9 and 8). I've always been very active and have happily led a healthy lifestyle. About 20 years ago, I took up an interest in running. During most of that time I've been 'just' a casual runner but became even more interested in it in time and have, over the course of the last 5 Hello! I'm a native Floridian and am wife to a most wonderful husband and mom to our 3 fantastic children (ages 13, 9 and 8). I've always been very active and have happily led a healthy lifestyle. About 20 years ago, I took up an interest in running. During most of that time I've been 'just' a casual runner but became even more interested in it in time and have, over the course of the last 5 years, run in many 5Ks here in the Central Florida area. I did my 1st marathon in Jan 06 when, in fact, I completed the inaugural Disney Goofy race (half marathon that Saturday;full marathon the very next day). I've recently reignited my interest in these longer races and did the Disney marathon this past January as well as the Princess Half in March. My bigtime new interest, however, has been in triathlon! It was a dream come true when I was able to participate in the Orlando Danskin Sprint Triathlon last year and, this past Mother's Day completed my 2nd one. I've officially caught the tri bug! All in all, I'm happy with my fitness. I'm healthy and strong, I exercise regularly and I eat a healthy diet. My husband and I have set a very good example for our children and they have, in turn, taken to a healthy lifestyle as well. However, since the birth of our last child 8 years ago I've just been so frustrated by the stubborn layer of fat that has cleaved to my middle! I had back to back pregnancies with the last 2 children and preeclampsia with all 3 and have always had that nagging feeling that I could somehow do better but just didn't know how. I'm extremely grateful for the strong and able body that I DO have and try to remember to send up thanks daily. I ALWAYS like for my focus to be on the positive as opposed to what I don't have. I do, however, feel like there is great room for improvement. I know that I can get even stronger and feel quite confidant that, with the right program, I can have those abs and that muscle definition that I'm looking for and feel that much better and healthier! Enter BeachBody and the P90X program. I've JUST begun the program and am extremely excited about it! I'm signed up to participate in my 3rd sprint triathlon (Sept 09--once again at Disney's Fort Wilderness)and am confidant that, through P90X, I am going to see increased performance results (by way of faster tri times) as well as those physical positive tweaks I'm workin' out each day to attain. Stay tuned! :) Every daily workout is getting me closer to my goal and to the realization of my transformation story! Due to P90X, my husband & I both feel noticably stronger after just 2 1/2 weeks with more endurance for our runs and lasting power in our swim strokes! I rub my hands over my arms and can feel the muscle definition starting to take shape and my middle is gradually getting less 'fluffy.' YESSSS!
