MY STORY: I am 27 years old and work FT at Verizon Wireless as an assistant. I bought P90X with my boyfriend Garret (also a coach - palmerg) earlier this year. I had hit a stagnant point in my workouts to where I was not seeing any results. I was going to the gym twice a day, 6 days a week. No matter how hard or often I exercised and changed my eating habits, I could not build my muscle definition or lose excess fat. Along with so many others, I felt like a yo-yo. My results were up and down every week. We started the program in hopes for a lifestyle change and that is what we got! Garret and I will be kicking it up a notch in December. We will both be starting P90X again at Day 1. We are going to commit to the 6-7 day routine and actually follow the diet plan that has been set by the Beachbody trainers. Please follow us through this journey and watch us transform even more and believe for yourself what Beachbody programs can do for you! BIO: I grew up with a family that struggled with weight loss and was overweight all throughout my middle and high school years. My sophomore year I hit the all time high of 190 lbs and realized that my obesity was out of control and I needed to take action. I had no energy, was insecure and had no self-esteem. I was constantly humiliated by people at school and shopping was never fun! My junior year in high school I had studied over in France and was exposed to a whole different lifestyle then what I was used to. Immediately following my return back to the states, I was off and running to Italy. The lifestyle alone was enough to start shedding the pounds. Once my traveling was done and I had returned back to Nebraska, I was excited to continue my diet and reach my goal of 130 lbs. I started to exercise and be more cautious of the food that was entering my mouth. I started studying the contents and ingredients in everything! Within a 6 month time frame, I had lost the excess weight and exceeded my goal. I was finally at a healthy weight of 120 lbs. I struggled with losing weight my whole entire life and finally achieved my life time goal that I thought was impossible. Shortly after my goal was made, I was diagnosed with epilepsy my senior year in high school. The medication made me exhausted and I had no energy to even wash my hair or eat. I ended up losing even more weight and dropped down to 110 lbs. After seeing more weight drop without trying, I had the desire to see how much more I could lose. Over a course of two years, I managed to drop to an all time low of 92 lbs. I thought that I was in the best shape of my life and that I looked the best I ever had. My friends and family did not think the same way that I did. I was told I looked like a skeleton! My hair was falling out, my skin was dull, my eyes were sunken, bones were visible and my body bruised very easily due to the lack of nutrients I was prohibiting to enter my body. In January of 2009 I heard one of my friends talking about P90X and how great it was. I had no idea and was intrigued and inquired about it. The answer I was given is that it is a "out home workout program". Immediately I disregarded it knowing that it was a scam. Shortly after I ran a crossed it on TV and spent the time to hear the testimonials, I was sold. Now all I needed to do was sell my boyfriend on it. I figured it would be more fun if you had someone to workout with and motivate you on the days you did not feel like doing it. My boyfriend, Garret and I, got our CDS and pull up bar in March of 2009. I still remember to this day looking up at the pull bar and saying to Garret "this is impossible, there is no way I can do ONE pull up...Tony is nuts!" Of course, his response back was "Don't say you can't do it, say you presently struggle with it" - Which is Tony's words that we have become to live by. I am proud to say that I am in the best shape of my life today. I can now do pull ups without a chair, I can do cardio activities longer and have muscles that I never knew existed! We continue to do our P90X workouts to this day. We strongly recommend it along with the other Beachbody programs that are out there. Beachbody will change your life inside and out...you just have to commit | ||||||||
