Now that I have been working out the past 10 months I am back to running and recently ran a 10K. I started working out the week before my p90x videos came in.
I was 220 at that point and 213 when I actually started the videos. By following the nutrition guidelines and the support system here on the boards as well as working out I am feeling so much better not only physically but mentally. The support system is the biggest thing I have lacked over the years in my quest to STAY fit. The other factor is that with such a diverse training regimen ...ie muscle, yoga, kenpo etc the variety keeps me from getting bored so I look forward to my workouts instead of dreading them.
Along with the weight loss, I have lost10.5inches off my waist...8.5inches off my hips and my biceps are each an inch bigger. I am looking forward to continuing this program and maximizing results. I have finally found a program that is keeping me on track for the long term. I have also used P90X Plus as well as Tony Horton's One on One series. As the New Year starts, I have begun using Chalean Extreme in an effort to help burn off more body fat as well as to change things up a bit. Since getting back into shape I have also been able to get back to running and have run up to 10K. Before P90 X and getting back into shape, my knees and back could not handle running for more than a couple of minutes at a time. The weight loss and muscle strengthening produced through the various Beach body workouts has made it possible to get back to doing things I hadn't been able to do for years. I believe in the system so much that I am now a Coach and have been helping others achieve their goals. I have found that being a Coach has helped me to stay on track through actively helping others. It's all about accountability and interacting with other like minded people has helped me to maintain focus on my fitness goals.
