I moved from the midwest to the east coast in 2000. When I went shopping for the first time in New York I discovered that I was not wearing a size 14 any more but rather a woman's size 20! Yikes. For the first two years I must have been in denial and of course a shoulder injury in 2001 that put me out of work did not help any either. In 2004 I was watching television one day and saw an infomercial about "Slim In Six." Realizing I needed to exercise to keep my shoulder in shape and get through a big transition from no work to work and in a new location (I moved to Connecticut) I started the program weighing in at 205 pounds. I exercised six days a week doing something-anything to keep me moving. Between 2004 and 2006 I had lost 45 pounds. When I officially joined, my goal was to lose another ten pounds and to stay in shape. I did do it. I am down to 147 pounds, stronger and even eating well (as a person with diabetes). I owe my health and positive attitude to exercise, friends and family and of course my focus on my higher power and belief that yes, I "can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." How much better can life be? Thanks Million Dollar Body!!!
