I just turned 30 a couple of weeks ago. I am officially family man age. I am ,indeed, a family man with a wonderful wife and a 3 month old boy. I was a little sad as I remembered my earlier days, but instead of burying the intensity and vigor of my youth in my front yard, I have resolved to salvage what is left, and potentially even achieve or exceed my peak fitness in the Army at age 18. I am fat, but strong. I am heavy, yet surprisingly agile. Everything seems to work pretty well. I don't drink or smoke, but I have bad eating habits. I don't sleep enough, but I am still pretty energetic. I gain mass and/or fat easily. I usually do a little lifting and then some cardio in my "man's room". I typically burn between 800 and 1100 calories for each workout 2-3 times a week (1 mile walk warmup, 3-4 upper body circuits, 3-6 miles incline walk or jog, depending on HR and overall feeling). For the sake of my family and myself, I need to be strong and healthy to continue to provide and be able to participate more as my family grows. Not to mention, I have yet to unleash the ripped beast under my fluffiness. I know it is there, and I have never fully seen it, but I sure do want to.
I have not thrown in the towel, I had just misplaced it. Well now,I think I have just found it, and I plan to BRING IT!!!
