We have a VERY active lifestyle and our house is busy all the time, full of kids and thier friends, sports, music and lots of laughter! My husband and I are very blessed!
I work full time as a Marketing Director for a construction company, do Beachbody coaching on the side as well as lead worship for my church. Hence the crazy wonderful life.
Each week I find it a great challenge to find time to get in my workouts because I am NOT a morning person as far as energy levels go and the evenings around here are NUTS! My husband tries his best to get dinner most nights so that when I do get home I can knock out a quick 30 minutes of sweat time with Shawn T's Hip Hop Abs or Chaelene's Extreme program. Truth be told I get in on average 3 days a week at best! I try to do more and sometimes it works out, but with fall here now and soccer season starting I'll be lucky to get in 3 :)
I keep my diet as clean as I can, eat only wheat breads, clean meats, chicken, turkey and ham occasionally. Lots of veggies and fruit! My cereal is Kashi Lean and I fill with power bars, meal replacement shakes and Shakology for my vitamins.
After workouts I faithfully use the P90X Recovery Drink! LOVE IT! LOVE IT - LOVE IT!
I recommitted to my fitness back on July 6th of this year. I had gained about 36 pounds in the past 3 years due to an unknown thyroid issue and am now back on track to loosing it. I started at 176 pounds and a size 10/12. I am now down to 169 and inbetween a size 8/10. My goal is to get back down around 140 and back into a size 6 where I am most comfortable. Realistically I am not sure about the 140 because I am gaining alot of muscle, but time will tell.
No one ever said getting fit and healthy was easy, but man it is so worth it. I think about my next 20 years and what will come and I want to be even more active then than I am now! Don't you!
One of my favorite quotes is from trainer Tony Horton of P90X and he says do your personal best and forget the rest!
This is wonderful advice for anyone! When you cheat, you only cheat yourself!
Blessings!!!
