I am a mother of three lovely little girls near Madison, WI. I am an A.C.E. certified group fitness instructor and have been teaching aerobics/strength training locally for over 3 years. I am also a singer and songwriter and part time choir director for the Recreation Department.

Transformation Story

After the birth of my first child, I weighed 200 lbs. I was wearing a size 18 in womens clothing and feeling very depressed. I had gained a total of 75 lbs total during my pregnancy (225 lbs).  More...
After the birth of my first child, I weighed 200 lbs. I was wearing a size 18 in womens clothing and feeling very depressed. I had gained a total of 75 lbs total during my pregnancy (225 lbs). After losing much of the weight, I found myself pregnant once again! The cycle continued. After three babies, I hit a brick wall and had to make some choices if I wanted to improve my appearance and health.

Now, three children later, I am in the best shape of my life.

I was tired of looking in the mirror and not recognizing the woman staring back. I hated shopping for clothes and feeling "frumpy" and fat. I was tired of hearing people say
"You have such a pretty face." What about the rest of me? I wanted to feel beautiful from my head to my toes.

I decided to take up Tae Bo and began to monitor my food intake. When I achieved a healthy weight, I decided to make health and fitness my career. I became an A.C.E. certified group fitness instructor in Wisconsin. Now, I teach class once a week and supplement my workouts with running, walking, and Hip Hop Abs! I enjoy hearing people ask in disbelief, "You have THREE children? No way!" I really have been enjoying working out with Shaun T. and the Hip Hop Abs routines. Shaun T. is amazing and motivational! I am so grateful for his energy and fun spirit!

I think we all have to hit that brick wall where there is NO turning back. Once we hit, we're slapped with an ugly dose of reality that we need to change drastically. It is not easy, and it does not happen overnight. But it WILL happen one committed day at a time.
