After leaving the US Postal Service in March 2001, I became a SAHM and am now homeschooling our 2 beautiful children (ds-16, dd-14). I was a cheerleader and in drill team while in high school. When I moved to TX (from AL and FL), I thought I was fat, because people in TX were sooooo skinny. I was actually a size 7-9 at 135#s. My lean body mass was 111#s (17.7% fat) I LONG TO BE THAT "FAT" NOW!!! I've also played boys' baseball as a preteen and softball as I got older (but always missed the baseball!!). When in drill team, I was forced to be no more than 125#, so I would starve before my weigh-ins, binge for a couple of days, then starve again before the next weigh-in. If I was not below the 'acceptable' weight for 5'4", I could NOT dance at that week's football game. I actually missed (2) dances/games for being 1/2# overweight, which made me not eligible for a senior letter jacket. How cruel! BUT...I don't blame school politics for my weight gain (anymore). As adults, my husband and I played softball appx 3-5 times per week. I enjoyed riding my horses, and I even wanted to become a professional bodybuilder. But I put more time into the weights than I did the cardio. After a car wreck and the chiropractor stopped my weightlifting (crappy Dr. was only in it for the money), I slowly gained the weight after high school. By the time we decided to have children, I had reached the weight of 212#s. I had gestational diabetes while pregnant with my son and gained 42#s - to 264#s (my highest recorded weight). I worked full-time until 2 weeks before birth, because blood pressure was becoming high. After his birth, I lost all the weight and the HBP/diabetes was gone. When I got pregnant with my daughter, I had gestational diabetes again, but I controlled it better. I gained only 18#s and lost it all afterward. Since 1993 and both C-Sections, I've slowly gained to 255#s. Everything will surely change for the better now that I've found BeachBody. I may not be able to get rid of all the weight as fast as everyone dreams, but this is a great start on my transformation to a better lifestyle and excellent health. (I've done P90 and TaeKwonDo since August 2005. I've only lost 15#s - which is excellent (appx 1/2# per week)! I believe my prescriptions (steroid-Advair, Singulair, and allergy shots) that I take for my asthma are hindering my weightloss. I am looking for some alternatives to strengthen my lungs while slowly getting rid of my meds. Wish me luck! My Progress My Fitness Goal: Lose Weight Transformation Story

I bought Power 90 in September 2004 after probably a year of watching the infomercials. Then I decided to buy SI6 and the Slim Series off of eBay. How crazy was it for me not to start until August 2009. Look at how much time I've wasted! Now I've decided to make the commitment to enjoy my life and family. The children are even doing the program with me for their Phys Ed while homeschooling. We also have a punching bag, jump rope, Lifecycle, Stairmaster, and Bowflex. We have many TaeBo and Susan Powter tapes, too, but I will be putting alot of my effort into the P90 tapes for now. ___________________________________________________________ These are my measurements starting out (some may sound ridiculous, but I felt were necessary): 08/05/08 Neck-17.25" 17" Shoulders-51" 50.75" Armpits-43" 42.75" Breast/Chest-51" 49" Ribcage-42" 41" Waist-50.5" 48.75" Low Belly/Upper Hips-52" 51" Hips-46" 45.75" Thigh (upper)-26.25" 26" Thigh (mid)-23.25" 23" Thigh (low)-18.75" 18" Knee (mid)-16" 15.75" Knee (below)-14.25" 13.75" Calf-15.75" 15.75" Ankle-9" 8.75" Upper Arm (@ armpit)-16.5" 16" Bicep (relaxed)-14.75" (flexed)-15.75" (R) 14.5", (F) 15.5" Elbow-11.5" 11" Forearm-12" 11.5" Wrist-6.5" 6.25" Elbow bone (arm bent)-2.5" 2.25" ___________________________________________________________ I'm an advanced brown belt in ITF TaeKwonDo. I was a Program Coordinator and assistant instructor at the dojo for 1.5 years, before realizing that I'm rarely getting to workout now. I've not lost any weight in that time, so I've decided to remember my first goal of taking care of ME. I actually pulled my calf muscle in June 2008 when testing for my 1st Dan black belt. I've been out of commission for 2 months and am ready to get back into it. I now have appx 4 mo to get ready again for the test with the help of P90 & Turbo Jam. I can't wait!
