Paducah, KY I have always been an athletic person. I played basketball for 7 years while in middle school and high school. I never really had much problem getting my weight off after having my 3 children. I honestly am not sure what just happened to me over the course of the last few months, other than "life" happened and I now weigh more than I ever have in non-pregnant form. I never really had much problem getting my weight off after having my 3 children. I honestly am not sure what just happened to me over the course of the last few months, other than "life" happened and I now weigh more than I ever have in non-pregnant form. As I have gotten older, I have found it more difficult to keep my weight in check, and I KNOW that I have got to make proper food choices and keep moving/pushing myself if I don't want to end up obese.
At only 5'2" tall, gaining 5 lbs. makes one look as if they gained 10 lbs. My increased weight has decided to settle itself in the abdominal and hip region, so these are the two areas that I most want to see transformed. I am in my last week of Slim in 6 and am loving it! I just recently started making dietary/lifestyle eating changes and am seeing much better results than when I was just working out and still eating whatever I wanted.
As you can tell from my "before" picture, I was too ashamed to even show my face in the picture, but I will be posting an "after" shot in the near future. While I've nearly finished Slim in 6, I'm no where near complete in my journey of weight loss, fat loss, and life-long fitness.
"Life" is going to happen, but with Beachbody, I know that making permanent changes to my lifestyle are the key to surviving life's rollercoaster.
Although I am new to being a Beachbody coach, I'm not new to motivating others and helping them do what they think is impossible (I am a certified nurse midwife!). If you need motivation, e-mail me at midwife6272@beachbodycoach.com and check out my website at http://beachbody.com/midwife6272

My transformation story is still a work in progress. I somehow found myself weighing more than I've ever weighed not pregnant. I was tired of my clothes being too tight and feeling unattractive. My transformation so far has been more mental than physical. Have I lost some weight with Slim in 6? You bet! Have I lost some inches with Slim in 6? Absolutely! My biggest transformation is how I feel about myself. Exercise is such a mental release for me and I feel better both physically and mentally. So, not much of a physical transformation thus far, but more mental and that is really important to me. Now that I KNOW I'm worth the extra time I spend working out each day, I KNOW that my physical transformation will take place more readily! Today is 11/15/09, the day after my last day of Slim in 6. I've lost 8.5lbs. and a total of 6.75 inches from my body. If I had actually been following the dietary guidelines the whole 6 weeks as opposed to just this last week, I'm sure the numbers would have been bigger. So I've graduated SI6 and now I'm taking a recovery week before starting ChaLean Extreme. I will keep you posted...
