I have struggled with weight most of my life. I tried various diets in high school and college, which I would lose, but it never stayed off for more than a few months. April of 2002 I was at an all time high for my 5‘4" frame- 256 lbs. My knees and back were starting to cause me a lot of pain. So, I turned to Weight Watchers, as sort of a last resort. Initially, I resisted thinking this would be another failed diet, after all if I could watch my portions I would not need WW. Well, I gave in and really became one with the points system and 1 year or so later I was down 53lbs. Also, I sporadically used a walking workout tape, but never really stuck with it. Well, I certainly was not at goal, but having started in a Woman’s size 22/24 and now being able to shop at “regular” stores for Misses 16- I was more than excited. My ultimate goal was to get below 200, but I just maintained about 203-210 up until the end of 2004. Things were happening in my life that made me get away from my normal routine- time did not permit to eat right or exercise. Of course the weight started coming back and before I knew it I was at 246lbs.
Weight Watchers- Take Two At 246lbs I started consistently following WW again, in May of 2006. This time I decided to not only lose weight, but to be physically in great shape. I found Turbo Jam and absolutely love it!! I hated exercise before Turbo Jam. This is the only workout that I ever look forward to doing (most days). The music and moves are fun, yet effective. Even on those days when I have to push myself to workout, once I getting started I am so into TJ. I started doing TJ at least 5/6 times a week in July 06, which is the longest I have consistently even worked out. Between WW and TJ I am now down 23lbs; I feel great and my clothes are big again. This time around I hope to see my goal of getting below 200. I think it's possible at the rate I’m going. As of 01/2007 I am below 200. YAY!! 07/23/07 70 lbs gone. 11/15/07 83 lbs gone. 04/06/08 110 lbs gone!
