I just turned 42 in November and want to get in the best shape of my life. I am a jazz musician who just moved from California to Columbus, Ohio and then to Tampa, Florida this summer.
I have had the P90X DVDs since this past July, but didn't get motivated to begin the program until November 8th. Even though I haven't lost any weight yet, I am very please with showing up and "bringing it" to do my best [and forget the rest]!
1/26/08 UPDATE
i have been bringing it since november full throttle. i really enjoy my time doing P90X. after two months i wasn't really seeing any results. i was eating right and getting enough protein, and after some experimentation with my diet and supplements i found that i was not getting enough EFAs [essential fatty acids] in my diet. so i've been adding these capsules to my diet for the past week and YAHOO! i can see a big difference in my P90X performance. i am able to push further through each workout. this is very exciting to me because i was so gung ho in the beginning of the workouts. i was so psyched to be part of a program that would take me to where i wanted to be physically and mentally. well it took a while to figure it out, but since i've added more efas [flax seed capsules - about 30 per day] my muscles are growing and able to stay "muscleized" when before no matter how many arm curls i would do, my arms would be flabby and the next day it was like my body didn't even remember working out. so i will keep you posted on this, but i believe i am onto something here and very excited about it.
