I have been warming the couch for the past five (5+) years after working 12
+ hours a day. I have seen some good movies and sporting events, and
instead I should have been exercising more. I recently saw my doctor and
weighed in at 206 Lbs, and had my cholesterol checked. She said I needed to
increase my HDL by exercise and dietary changes. Realizing the seriousness
of the situation and, after being fed up with the way I looked and was feeling,
I decided to do something about it. This was the wake up call I needed. Why
should I wait till my health deteriorates and I have serious health problems. I
decided to take control while I am somewhat healthy. This is what brought me
here to Million Dollar Body and P90X. Most importantly, I need to set a good
example for my kids.
Where was I five years ago? I weighed 173 Lbs and had 8.9% body fat. I
worked out 6-7 days a week which included workouts in the gym and
running in the hills with friends. Talk about a transformation in the wrong
direction.
So who am I....?
Professionally: I work for a High-Tech company called Sonasoft Corp. I am in
charge of their Operations and Customer Support.
Family: My wife of 9 years, 2 daughters; the youngest is 2 and the eldest will
be 5 in May. I enjoy spending time with them whenever I have time.
Exercise: I have always loved exercising; however, it's something that I have
not been regularly doing for almost 5+ years. However, I joined 24 Hour
Fitness Oct 29 2007 weighing 206 Lbs and joined their Biggest Loser program
so I could have access to a trainer 5 times. During this time I found out about
P90X on TV and someone told me to YouTube P90X (watch videos). I saw
some of the results people had with the program and was convinced I should
give it a try. I finally made the purchase and here I am today. This program
thus far is tougher than I thought. Don't you just love the burn and soreness,
I'm still alive.
Interests: family, friends, health, exercise, computers and technology,
learning new things, and just plain old having fun.
