I am a 37yr old professional. (And mother of the most amazing 9yr old girl!) I have never been 'fat'. In fact, I was really thin throughout my twenties. The only exercise I had ever done was dancing at clubs. (I love Chicago's music!) I had one failed marriage, but from it my daughter was born. Then I met and married a consultant by day, tri-athelete every other minute of the day, when she was 2yrs old. He was training for an iron-man and needed to 'carb-up' at every meal. So, while I ate heavy carb dishes right along with him, I wasn't working it off the way he was. (The only exercise I was getting was chasing my daughter around.)
These days, my husband is more accomodating with his diet (and he travels out of state most of the week) and I am more aware of the hazards of overloading on the wrong foods. We attempt to eat healthy meals, and we avoid sugar & chocolate. But being a working mother with a very active (ice-skating) princess, I need to prepare meals that are quick and easy. While still not fat, I am about 15-20 lbs over weight. Finding time to excersise is my toughest challenge. I will attend my 20yr High School reunion this fall and want to look my best. I look forward to the support, and friendships gained here to get me to my goal.
