I am a 33 year old woman who has gradually over the last few years declined in physical health. It has happened slowly and unalarmingly. However it wasnt until I could not play even a full quarter in an annual basketball tournament that I realized this is a serious problem. I am a 33 year old woman who has gradually over the last few years declined in physical health. It has happened slowly and unalarmingly. However it wasnt until I could not play even a full quarter in an annual basketball tournament that I realized this is a serious problem. A part of my identity has always been to play ball and be physically active, if I lose that, I am losing a part of me. I need to stop the loss now, and get back what I have already lost. I want to jump higher, run faster, play a full game without having to sub out.
This happened over a long period of time, so I do not expect a sudden turnaround. With the help of a few friends and a cousin we are teaming up and beginning a weekly gathering where we discuss our workouts, our strengths, and our weaknesses for the week. I have no reason no excuses to not get back the athleticism that I have lost. Bring it.
