Dec. 2004 I was in the best shape that I had been in years, running 2-3 times a week, eating well, doing body resistance strengthening and had just (13 days) graduated from my Army Reserve Green-to-Gold training when I found out I was pregnant. I went from 129lbs to 181lbs, I’m 5’-3”…WOW!!! The weight dropped off in no time but the ‘mommy tummy’ stayed. Upon learning that I was cross leveled for activation (Feb 2007), I started hitting the gym again, 5 days a week. I was feeling good and looking better every week. About 22 months from having my first son, I was 32 & pregnant with my second son. I tried to keep running and working out but it only lasted a short while. My body just wasn’t fully recovered from the first time and this time, I had a c-section. Not cute.
I started back in the gym with a friend back in March 2009. I wasn’t losing weight but I was surely shaping back up, we really had a good momentum of going 2-3 times a week. 300-1000 reps of abs on machines, legs some days, upper body most days and we where even doing 5Ks or so on the treadmill. Around April, he turned me onto P90X (lean), then we were REALLY rolling & I was fired up. But over the summer, as he worked, our workouts disappeared and it just wasn’t as much fun working out alone. I completed about 75% of the 90 days, good results but not there yet. Needless to say, my results didn’t stick around......Now as of Jan 2010, I'm back to P90X classic, second time around for real this time solo with more determination….Wish me luck!
