I've completed 2 full weeks of ChaLEAN and can't say enough about this great program. Although I work hard at getting fit and put in a couple hours a day, I'm yet amazed at the changes I'm seeing and experiencing in this 40+ body of mine! My metabolism has revved up, my muscle tone is becoming visible, my strength, flexibility, and energy levels are what they were a long time ago. In the first 2 weeks I lost 5 lbs. and 7.5 inches! ChaLEAN's approach is very effective and she's right, "BUILD MUSCLE, BURN FAT."


ChaLEAN...MY NEW BEST FRIEND:

Having completed "Power90 In Home Boot Camp," I've now moved on to "ChaLEAN Extreme." I've tried Burn 1,2,3, Burn Intervals, Ab Burn, and Turbo Fat Burn Express. All good stuff. Now that I've caught on to routines and moves that are much faster than P90, I have "officially" started this new program. Looking forward to tracking progress and continuing to get even more fit, toned, and lighter. Nov. 1 = Day 1. Here we go, Baby!

THE EVOLUTION OF PASTOR FIT:
Mission accomplished! 90 days of coloring in calendar boxes, taking measurements, stepping on the scale, and assessing my overall sense of health and well-being - here I am - the new and improved "Pastor Fit"!
Power90 In Home Boot Camp sufficiently kicked my butt, challenged me mentally, pushed me physically, and led me to a transformed body, spirit, and life. Not only am I more fit (lost 28 lbs., 34 inches, body fat down 8%), but my whole being is better balanced.
Since July 19, 2009, when I first "pushed play," my life and my purpose have gained clarity and perspective. I have moved beyond "unhealthy, workaholic, imbalanced Pastor Maribeth", to "enthusiastic, dedicated, getting strong Pastor Fit"! This new "ministry" is filled with joy and hope. As my life and body continue to be transformed via a commitment to fitness and health, I am so excited to help others, as their Coach, achieve their goals and attain balanced and healthy lives. I think that's a pretty cool calling!

FROM SUMMER TO AUTUMN - SO TOO I CHANGE:
Here we go - the last 10 days of Power90 In Home Boot Camp! I remember back to July when I first started, when October seemed a long way away. I was guardedly optimistic about the potential results I could achieve. Though cliche, it seems appropriate that my body has been changing like the seasons. In the heat of summer I began, through the transition into shorter summer days and into chilly fall, I continued, and now, as the sun shines bright on a beautiful, colorful autumn day, as the trees transform from green summer into the reds and yellows of autumn, so too I am transforming into something new. Body, mind, spirit - changing, transitioning, transforming....

HOLY DECLINE PUSH-UPS! (regular pushup, off the knees, with feet inclined up 18" on a chair) Since moving up to Phase 3/4, I've been hesitant to tackle this new pushup position. I didn't believe I was strong enough and instead I've worked on keeping good form and doing more "guy" pushups. Today (Day 66) I decided to suck it up and see what I could do. HOLY MOLY was I shocked to discover I could do them! I cranked out 10 declines in good form and still maintained the form and integrity of the rest of the Sculpt/Circuit workout. Yay P90!

65 DAYS LIVING AS A P90 JUNKIE:
Results continue to amaze me. Moved up to Phase 3/4 twenty one days ago and it's been sufficiently challenging. My strength, endurance, and flexibility have increased significantly since I first "pushed play" 65 days ago. The first week I could do 5 push-ups in each of the 3 circuit segments - for a total of 20-25/workout. Now I crack out 65+ in the 3/4 Sculpt/Circuit program! I think that's even better than my days of playing basketball and doing martial arts! Since I started, I've also added 5 more pounds to the hand weights and do the entire 3/4 Sculpt at that level. I'm down 22 lbs. My BMI has dropped over 5 points. And...get this...I've lost 31 inches - that's 2 feet 7 inches gone from my body!

Additionally - I am so pleased to be an inspiration to others. I love coaching and encouraging people to give this a try. If I can do it, others can to. As a pastor, I am enjoying assisting people through another dimension of their life journeys - getting healthy and fit, transforming their bodies and their lives. Body, mind, and spirit are all connected. It's a real blessing to now be Coach "pastorfit" and shepherding people towards greater wholeness and balance.

DAY 50 - TRANSFORMATION UPDATE:
Beginning the 7th week of Power90, on Day 44 I moved up to Phase 3/4. The first couple days kicked my butt as my body (and mind) adjusted to faster and new routines. I am happy and proud to report that I was able to keep up and was absolutely amazed at my increased strength and endurance. The other incredible news is, at Day 50, I have lost 20 lbs., 27.5 inches, and 5% body fat!
I hope my success continues to inspire others to make a commitment to also succeed in transforming their lives and bodies.

TRANSFORMATION...THE BEGINNING
In mid-July I popped in my first Power90 workout. Since that day, my life and body have not been the same!

Now halfway through the program, my Power90 results have been truly amazing. I'm losing weight (15 lbs. in 40 days) and inches (a total of 20"), I'm happy, centered, energetic, and full of life. Every morning I awaken excited to begin another day pushing my body further than it's been pushed in a long time.

Thrilled with my physical results and sense of well-being, I recently became a coach and I intend to continue to transform myself for a long, long time using Beachbody routines. As my coach says, "This is just the beginning!" That's the best way to approach my mid-life: it's not a crisis, but a new beginning!
