That was also before a back injury which seems to haunt me every time I begin an exercise routine. Lately I have been I can recall many years ago, just thinking to myself, “why don’t people exercise every day like I do, don’t they realize how good they’re going to feel and healthy they will be?” Of course that was before marriage and children which changed my life in so many incredible ways. That was also before a back injury which seems to haunt me every time I begin an exercise routine. Lately I have been asking myself, “how am I going to get back into shape?” I have never been this unhealthy or fat in my life. It seems like I loose muscle mass quickly and I have such a hard time building it up. To top that; over the last few years I seem to be in a zone where I am slowly and consistently getting fatter and fatter. I look in the mirror and I see a skinny fat guy. I don’t even recognize my face anymore and I cannot believe this is me! I’ve also noticed that my normal positive can-do-anything attitude is becoming negative and affecting all aspects of my life. I had finally hit that point in my life where I decided to make some serious changes. I want to be in the best shape of my life and develop the body that I want to have. Not long after I made that decision I saw a P90X infomercial and watched to see if the training could possibly be more intense than the Olympic style of Tae Kwon Do training I was accustomed too back in the good old days. What really got my attention was Tony's concept of muscle confusion, because, it was always the repetition of exercises that seemed to cause my back problems. So that’s why I bought the P90X system. I believe that this "muscle confusion" approach can work for me, and I think that the support system that Team Beach body has will also be a key to my success. I get very disappointed when my back gives out, and thats when I usually stop training. I know the support of a coach will help keep me motivated over the long term. Please don’t count me out because of my weak back. My family and friends are great and I love them, but, they just don’t have the same interest in personal health or fitness that I do. I'll bring it! and if I get the support I need to get past my back issues, I will succeed! And I'll give it too, I'll also be there to support my friends! Oh, if you wondering what redivivus is... the names I wanted to use were all taken so I opened an online dictionary program and Redivivus was the word of the day. It means "living again". It sounds a little odd, but it’s fitting, so it works... Health for Life! Ray | ||||||||
