I grew up in a northern suburb of Detroit, MI called Ferndale. After high school in 1973 I entered the military at the age of 17 and a fairly heavy smoker. I never was obese but always had a belly and side handles. After boot camp and now looking back at the pictures I was in the best shape of my life. I didn't realize it then and lived life normally and over the next 35+ years I put on the "beer" belly and side handles.
During the service, I was stationed in the Midwest and eventually settled in a suburb of St. Paul, MN. In 1978 I became a police officer and as I said above, the weight slowly piled on. I eventually was promoted to a command rank and now sit at a desk and go to meetings. I went to nearly 210 lbs and was fighting to fit into my uniforms. I found the stress was building and I could hardly stand to go to work and wanted so bad to just pack up, leave a great job and retire.
About 10 years ago I thankfully quit smoking and found my stamina became greater. Last year, I purchased another video system and with the exercise and their diet, I lost nearly 15 lbs. I was still enjoying the exercise but I think I had leveled off. I ended up having surgery on my foot with the Achilles tendon being detached then reattached. Needless to say, I was off my foot for 8 weeks, immobile and little (closer to no) exercise.
After talking with several BBM it was suggested to start at the P90 and upgrade to P90X at a later time. I bought the P90 system and when it arrived the next day I began doing the 6 day Fat Burning Express. This resulted in me loosing about 4 to 5 lbs and feeling much better.
May 5, 2008 is my 3rd day now doing the P90. I will say that I am glad to have more carbs back in my diet. I plan on staying with this for 90 days and see how it turns out. I am sure if I go that long that I will be hooked and continue on. My email is elmersr"at"gmail.com

July 6, 2008-
Okay, today is day 71 and I am preparing for the next exercise regiment, so I just ordered the P90 Master video set. I am really excited to begin that program on July 26 (My 91st day)
As stated below, I started squeezing into a 35" pant, now I am struggling to keep my new 34" pants on. I am now at 175 pounds down from the top of nearly 210 lbs. My stomach has reduced in size as most other fatty parts of my body with my muscles getting larger.
How can no one love getting these types of results? Sure it is work, but what better to work for my health? Check out the photo for the difference, these photos are with my stomach muscles totally relaxed (I sure don't walk around with my stomach protruding like that "any more").

I've been on the P90 for 37 days. I thankfully have lost 12 pounds and several inches in the waist. When I started 37 days ago, I was squeezing into a 36" pant. I now am in a 34" and have significant wiggle room. My arms muscles are becoming larger and more muscular.
I've had a lot of people tell me that I've lost weight and ask how. I tell them of the P90 program and that in using the Beachbody eating guide, the pounds and inches have melted away.
I am really excited to see how this program will have improved my life when I have finished the 90 days.
Thanks BB and Tony for helping me get into shape.
