I BEGAN MY JOURNEY ON MARCH 27,2009. I DIDN'T REALIZE WHAT I HAD IN STORE FOR ME. I BEGAN TO LOOK AT MY LIFE AND BEGAN TO THINK, I'M REALLY NOT IN THAT GOOD OF SHAPE. MY DEAR FRIENDS HAD ALREADY BEEN COACHES FOR ALMOST A YEAR AND HALF AT THIS POINT AND IT WAS TRULY AMAZING WHAT FITNESS GOALS THEY HAD ACCOMPLISHED WITH TEAM BEACH BODY. I HAVE A BEAUTIFUL FIANCEE, TWO TEENAGE GIRLS, AND A 9 YEAR OLD LITTLE GIRL WHO KNOWS DADDY CAN DO ANYTHING. SHE IS MY BABY AND THE LAST THING I WANNA DO, IS LET HER DOWN. I WOULD FIND MYSELF TAKING SEVERAL BREAKS WHILE WE WOULD PLAY OUTSIDE AND I KNEW IN MY HEART THAT I DID NOT WANT TO BE LIKE THIS. IN MARCH OF 2008, MY MOTHER PASSED AWAY. SHE HAD BEEN A HEAVY SMOKER FOR MOST OF HER ADULT LIFE AND A HEART ATTACK IN 1987 CHANGED THAT. SHE DIDN'T SMOKE FOR 21 YEARS AFTER THAT. FOLLOWING MY MOTHERS DEATH, MY DEVOTION TO FITNESS CAME IN THE SHAPE OF SEVERAL 12OZ. CURLS. I HAD NO MOTIVATION TO DO ANYTHING."COUCH POTATO CITY". I WAS VERY SADDENED THAT MY MOMMY WAS GONE. IT HAS BEEN A LITTLE OVER A YEAR SINCE MY MOTHER HAD PASSED AND I COULD FEEL SEVERAL THINGS CHANGING. GOD HAD BEEN TUGGING ON MY HEART FOR A VERY LONG TIME AND IT WAS MY TURN TO ANSWER HIM. HE PUT VERY SPECIAL PEOPLE IN MY LIFE AT THE RIGHT TIME IN ORDER FOR ME TO WAKE UP FROM MY SPIRITUAL AND PHYSICAL COMA." I'M ALIVE NOW!!!" I HAVE BEEN IN LAW ENFORCEMENT FOR OVER 13 YEARS AND I WANTED TO BE A POSITIVE ROLE MODEL FOR MY DEPARTMENT, VETERAN AND NEW OFFICERS, AND ESPECIALLY MY FAMILY. I WANT TO SHOW THEM THAT FITNESS AND BEING IN THE BEST SHAPE OF YOUR LIFE IS CRITICAL! SINCE I HAVE STARTED, MY DIET HAS CHANGED FROM PIZZA AND MCDONALDS TO FISH, AND CHICKEN AND ALL THE OTHER THINGS THAT ARE GOOD FOR YOU. I CONTINUE TO WORKOUT WITH P90X AND WITHOUT GOD'S SUPPORT AND HERS,I WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DO THIS BY MYSELF. WE ALSO BECAME COACHES WITH TEAM BEACH BODY ,AND WE FEEL AWESOME!! THE POSITIVE FEEDBACK FROM MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS HAS TRULY HAS BEEN A BLESSING.MY WEIGHT HAS DROPPED FROM 213LB. TO 197 LB. GAINING MUSCLE AT THE SAME TIME.
