San Clemente, CA I am 41 years old and live in San Clemente, CA. I am an employee benefits consultant, wife, mother of 2 (ages 13 and 10) and an independent Team Beachbody coach. This decision to change my life, my health, and my future did not come to me over night. I was very skeptical. I had expected to fail like all the other programs I'd tried before. I would start on a Monday (all my other failed diet I am 41 years old and live in San Clemente, CA. This decision to change my life, my health, and my future did not come to me over night. I was very skeptical. I had expected to fail like all the other programs I'd tried before. I would start on a Monday (all my other failed diet attempts always started on a Monday).
I have done and tried every diet and exercise program out there. Diets ranging from weekly meetings, to lemonade, to protein, to no carbs, to low carbs, to packaged foods and my very own diet, "20 in 30 by 40". That is my diet to lose 20 pounds in 30 days by the time I turned 40. Needless to say, that diet changed in name as the weeks drew closer to the birthday. I looked at these "diets" as just that, a "diet". Seriously, you say the word “diet” and I would think “cookies”.
The P90X program, one of the many fabulous home workout programs by Beachbody, is not a diet. It is nutrition and workout program that draws you in, kicks your butt, keeps you excited, motivated, and wanting more. I've come to realize that "diet" means... proper nutrition and exercise. To succeed, you need both. In February 2009 I made the decision to not quit and have (since 9/1/09) lost 18 pounds and feel better than I have felt in 15 years. You can quit reading a book, you can quit playing on a softball team, and you can even quit your job. But think about it, why would you quit your health? We get one life and it's up to us to make it the best one ever! I look forward to my workouts every day. Whether it is a 5:00 a.m. or 5:00 p.m., this is "my time". My family has learned to give me that time. I am a much better mom, wife and person because of it.

My transformation continues (August 17, 2009). I have completed two rounds of P90X and am on week 2 of Slim in 6. I have lost 18 pounds and a total of 13 inches since I began this program in February of 2009. My strength, flexibility and endurance have increased considerably. I never would have thought that I would be able to sit on my butt and grab my heels with my hands. Thank you YogaX. My transformation has become a part of my life. There really is no turning back. And seriously, why would I?
