I live on the high plains of Wild Wonderful Wyoming. I was raised outside a small town in western Nebraska, went to University in Beautiful Tulsa Oklahoma, and spent an additional couple of years there living and working. I moved back to this area for about 6 months, took off to the Mile High City, Denver Colorado, and lived there for 4 years or so. I used to jump into my little car on my days off and take adventure drives west, up into the mountains. I loved Colorado, I moved back to this area to take care of some family issues.
I had an opportunity to cross of an item on my life list. I have this list of things I want to do/accomplish while I am living this life. One was to hop a train. So rather than playing the bum and jumping a train. I took a job as a brakeman on the Chicago & Northwestern railroad. I loved it, those huge engines rumbling down the tracks, like riding a huge dragon. I met my husband while I was working on the rail. We fell in love very rapidly and have been together since the fall of 1990. We married October 26th, 1991. The rail decided to transfer me to Chicago in early 1992, my husband asked me to stay here rather than do the long distance relationship thing so I retired from the rail. We lived in the Town of Torrington in a delightful house with a huge honey locust tree in the back yard, 2 weeping birch in the front yard and 3 beautiful white spruce on the north side of the house until the spring of 2003. In the spring of 2003 we realized a long time dream and bought a ranch. Which is where we are now, Robbins Run Ranch: Living the Dream With Our Pomeranians.
Our 3 children (my stepchildren) were grown and on their own 2 with children of their own; before we moved to the ranch. My husband is still on the railroad, which was taken over by the Union Pacific. I work from the ranch. I am a Pomeranian breeder, for the love of the breed. We do a bit of rescue as well. However my main income comes from working online. I am selective when deciding which businesses/products to work with.
I came across Beachbody on an insomniac night surfing the channels on dish. One of those nights when I couldn’t sleep but was either to unfocused or tired to work. Hip Hop Abs jumped out at me. I bought it and promptly, I would like to say promptly started to workout out to it. But that is not what I did. I stuck it on a shelf. Around a year later I was looking for some all around support to lose fat and get my body into condition.
Over the past 9 years I had been extremely ill, survived West Nile Virus, then was left to deal with the ravages it had wrought on my body. (it left me with a compromised immune system and partially paralyzed)
I came close to death before two major surgeries that left me with decimated abdominal and pelvic floor muscles. After the last surgery I became very frustrated and angry, it felt as if my body had betrayed me, and I ate my way into oblivion, and nearly 300 pounds. Before I became ill, and the surgeries I could pick up a railroad tie and walk off with it. After the surgeries I could not pick up my empty coffee pot.
I am not at 100 percent yet, my last surgery was September 9th 2005. I am however on my way. Before the illness, and surgeries I had no idea what the saying: “If you have your health you have everything” meant. I understand it now.
Currently I am coaching as an Independent Beachbody Coach, helping others to reach their fitness and/or financial goals. Living with my loving husband on our ranch in Wild Wonderful Wyoming with our Pomeranians, rescue dogs, chickens, etc.

I looked around quite a bit before I decided on Beachbody. It seemed like every place I looked either online or offline, something was missing. Then I found Beachbody. It was like finding a diamond in among the refuse. Here was a place where people were working towards being healthy and physically fit.
Suddenly I had access to a gym, fitness experts, excellent workout products, and workout partners.
I have quite a bit of fat to lose, and am working on major changes in my body composition. Why this happens I really do not know, but it seems when you start changing your lifestyle, losing weight, working out, or even changing your eating patterns; it can really make people around you that are not making changes uncomfortable.
Any of us that have made changes in our lives have seen it; especially when it comes to fat loss. Hey I lost 10 pounds. Yay, that’s great, let’s celebrate, here is a 10 pound box of chocolate. Or would you like to have a pizza party. Or are you sure you want to do that workout, you don’t want to over do it. AAARrrraaagggghhhh!
It is so wonderful to be able to log into Beachbody and see so many other people working towards their fitness goals; and to be able to go to the message boards and/or chats and hear like minded people helping each other.
So far I have lost 24 pounds, with the amount of fat I have to get rid of that doesn’t look like much. But I’ll tell you what. I can certainly feel it. I can feel a difference in my arms, waist, sides, gluteus, and legs. It is already easier to move, and my back doesn’t hurt as much as it did; so I know my core muscles are strengthening.
March 25th, 2009 I injured my left leg working on the ranch. My leg was wedged nearly knee deep in the top of a 6 ft snow drift and I lost my balance and fell forward hyper extending my left knee, and straining calf muscles, hamstring, and quad.
Yesterday, May 11th, I noticed something that made me very happy. I stood up from a sitting position on our love seat. I had been having to brace myself against the back and pick myself up with my right leg only, and upper body. Yesterday my left leg bore some of the action. YaY!!!!!
I saw the doc again on May 8th; she scheduled an MRI for the 15th to see just how much damage is in my left knee. For my part my knee is starting to bend better. I still have to concentrate on it to bend it while I walk; but I am walking without the brace. Whoo Haaaa! Obviously I had to modify my workouts through this recovery process. No, I did not stop working out. I modified what I was doing to compensate for the knee injury.
I am sooooo glad I continued to lose fat during my recovery time from this knee injury. It’s been a stressful month. On April 14th, my Mom’s home, our family home of over 100 years burned to the ground. Happily the neighbors got my mom out alive. She is with us now and has started on Tony & the Folks.
I am checking out Debbie Siebers Total Body Solution, to help rehab my knee and keep me going. I’ve strained more than a few muscles transferring/lifting my mom from her wheel chair to her lift chair and so on. Today, May 12th, I am going after a personal lift, I hope it works. It will make it much safer for both my mother and myself.
I did add Shakeology to my daily meal plan. Really boosts my energy levels within moments of drinking it. One day, one workout, one pound at a time. 18 inches lost. (That includes more body measurements than what is in my profile, thighs, neck, etc.
I read somewhere, on the Beachbody site that every pound you lose is the equivalent of losing 5 pounds of pressure off your feet. 24 pounds multiplied by 5 equals 120 pounds of pressure off my feet, every time I take a step. Wow when I get the 150 pounds off it will be like 750 pounds off my knees and feet, over a quarter ton. No wonder they are screaming. So far so good; 24 pound down 126 pounds to go.
I want flat six pack abs, as you can see from my picture I have quite a ways to go to get there. With Beachbody, I am on my way!
Come along with me! Whether you have a little fat to lose or a lot, it doesn’t matter. This is a wonderful place. Join my team.
