I'm a mother, wife, artist and leader of a weight loss group called Reality of Weighting. In December of 2006, I found myself being considered for NBC's "The Biggest Loser" and ABC's "Fat March", certain that the only way I could lose the 100 lbs I had gained was through reality television. I thought for sure, that was my golden ticket.

Casting came and went, and though I went far in the

Two years ago, I started this journey at 248lbs (BMI of 36.8), too tired to do much, so lazy that I would plan my trips up and down my stairs to minimize how many times I had to do it. I was desperate to just not feel like the tired, fat mommy any more. So much that I tried out for two reality tv shows centered on dramatic weight loss.

Having been thin my entire life, I suffered a horseback riding accident which damaged my thyroid in 1999. I quickly put on 60 lbs in 4 months, and spent years trying to figure out what the heck was wrong with me.

I seriously thought that being cast for a show would be my magic solution... that all of my thyroid issues, stubborn weight gain, and general fatigue would slip away when I got on the show. What I failed to think about was my own role in the weight I had gained.

After not being cast, I formed a weight loss support group, and lost over 70 lbs since the end of March, 2007. With the support and accountability being a Beachbody coach gives me, I know I will reach my goal weight of 148, which at 5'10", should put me comfortably in the size I was before the accident that damaged my thyroid.

My focus is on eating clean, moving my body, and centering my mind. I am healing from a damaged thyroid, and various endocrine problems including severe adrenal fatigue. I believe that we are our bodies' best doctors, and we hold the power to control our health.

Weight loss takes place in your mind more than anything. Because YOU are the one who decides to push play every morning, to COMMIT to an active lifestyle, to say no to the chocolate glazed donut at work. And your body rewards you for these decisions.

I like to say I have ADD when it comes to working out. Meaning? I get bored easily. So, I look to my wonderful Beachbody collection of DVD's to keep me on my toes. I will do Turbo Jam one day, P90x another, and Rockin' Body to shake things up. Being able to pick what fits my mood for the day makes a difference for sure!

As I work to achieve a size I haven't seen in over a decade, I am counting on the support and encouragement of my customers, my other Beachbody coaches, and people like YOU who are on the same journey! Let's be work out buddies! Write me an email (carrie_falquist@yahoo.com), and we can work out together in WOWY!

I've come further than I ever thought possible when I started, and as I have put back on some of the weight, I am working to get back on track. As a certified personal trainer, I am learning every day how to help people take control of their bodies, change their behaviors and rock those bodies!

I'm passionate about changing my body, leaving excuses behind, and helping others live their best life possible. I love to meet folks who are excited about fitness, and want to make it their career, too! I welcome you to join my team!
