My Photos | run4vr After witnessing the incredible transformation that my friend "Papi" when through (see his MDB thread here), I decided that P90 might just be what I needed as well, but not for the same reasons. You see, I'm thin (most would probably say skinny). Been that way most of my life, thanks to the genes of my thin parents. You see, I'm thin (most would probably say skinny). Been that way most of my life, thanks to the genes of my thin parents. I was 145 lbs and 5'9" when I graduated high school and dropped to about 140 lbs during my twenties. Around the age of 30, I started running (not counting track in high school) and put the five pounds back on (ie, muscle weight). Stayed that way pretty much ever since (I'm now 43). But ever since college, I've had little or no upper body definition. In fact, I hated weight workouts. They seemed to wear me out more than running ever did. But as I've gotten older, I've liked what I've seen in the mirror less and less. And along comes Papi and his whole new look and I thought it was worth a shot. I started at the beginning of the year ('07) and tried to stay faithful up until the time the latest baby was born in April. I started with Phase 1/2 Sculpt and Abs and Phase 3/4 Sweat and transitioned to all Phase 3/4 in March. I also switched back to running instead of the Sweat routines once the weather got nice. Personally, I'm quite happy with the results (I'll post some pics and anyone interested can judge for themselves). I've actually put on 5-10 pounds of muscle. Starting in June, I started alternating Phase 5/6 Sculpt with 3/4. I like the variety of doing both. I'm also riding my bike for 20+ miles on Saturdays (when I can). It can be tough juggling everything, what with two babies under the age of two and the activities of the four older kids, but it's my desire to be the same active Dad with the babies as I was with the oldest kid starting 21 years ago. I'm fighting time and trying to out-run the bent-over old man who's trying to catch up with me. --- January '08. Started my second round of P90. | ||||||||
