Hi, my name is Scott and I'm currently 38 yrs young and I'm outta shape!
Growing up I had a pretty decent physical activity. High School was strictly football and a couple years of wrestling. I'm a fairly stocky guy (5'-10") but my weight had ran around 180lbs in school. After graduation, I dedicated time to work and social life and popped up to 200lbs within a year or so.

Within a year I had to lose weight because I was going into the Air Force (1991) to be accepted and had to cut 15lbs or so. What a drag... and very miserable effort but I did it. Then the next 4 years I sustained my 185lbs but not much physical activity in the Air Force. I was a crew chief on F-16's at Shaw AFB, SC, so being gone often didn't give an oppertunity to eat very healthy. Even chow hall food was decked out with many choices of unhealthy foods (If you've seen an Air Force chow hall, it's like a restaurant with several choices of juicy fat and carbs.. there's healthy food too, but pizza, lasagna, burgers, fries seemed much more tempting)
After I got out of the Air Force in 1995 I bounced up to 212lbs and by 2000 I was a whopping 225lbs. ...don't worry it gets better!
I got married to my wonderful wife in 1995 creeping up to 235lbs and by the time we had our last child this year I was a blobbing 251lbs. My latest prognosis with my doc is that my BP, chloesteral, sugar and enzymes are high and then later found out that I am diabetic. I'm in the initial monitoring stages of the diabetes and want to do something about it now before the doc wants me to hit the meds or worst... insilin injections... yuck.
So, I have already started the P90x (09-14-09)to see if it can change my life as it has others. My wife is going to join me also. I've been able to break a few pounds prior my start of the program (currently 237lbs) and using for my baseline. I just don't want any reason to get discouraged or have bad influence make me fall off the wagon.
So, there it is... I just want to "Bring It"
