OKLAHOMA CITY, OK I was always physically active in college and played alot of basketball, racquetball as well as partying every chance I got. That all stopped when I graduated, joined a local church group, and started making money as a computer programmer. Three years later I was married and began packing on the pounds. Within six years we had 3 kids and I began working on a career in IT. That all stopped when I graduated, joined a local church group, and started making money as a computer programmer. Three years later I was married and began packing on the pounds. Within six years we had 3 kids and I began working on a career in IT. That meant alot of sedentary work. Well, seventeen years later, I have gone from 215 lbs to a whopping 282! That brought along a host of health problems, the least of which is Diabetes-Type 2. After buying (and using) a treadmill and an elliptical and walking at work 45 mins a day, I noticed none of the weight was coming off because I wouldn't change my diet of fried foods, pizza, and late night ice cream. My doctor had prescribed some meds, one of which was Advandia. It was recently in the news so I made an appointment to see my doctor. He did a blood test and three days later the nurse called me with the results, along with his comments. She said, "The doctor is unhappy with the result and said that YOU HAVE NO SELF-CONTROL. He wants to put you on another, stronger drug." I was stunned and ashamed because I haven't exercised any of the self control and discipline I had in college. I'd seen the 90-day infomercials in the past and decided to give it a try. I'm just getting started and can't wait to see what I'll look like in 90 days, just in time for my 48th birthday.

Day 32 - Although the picture don't show it, I know the P90 program is working. I'm within 5 lbs of my target weight of 25 (by August 19th) and I have to admit that I aimed far too low. My energy level is high, I feel much stronger and I have more stamina, and my pants are loose, and I'm thinking of making new notches in my belts. It's a good problem to have. I really didn't want to put the 30 day picture out here because it didn't seem to reflect the gains I've made but it is what it is and I'm willing to accept it. Believe it or not, there's a six pack (not a ripped one) in there that I and my family can attest to. :) Maybe it'll be obvious on day 60. Thanks to everyone who shares their workout time, bios, pictures, and stories because without them, I'd lose. I can't wait to see my doctor face at my monthly followup. Peace.
