I’m 59 years old and live in Kennewick, Washington. I’m married to a wonderful woman and have two grown sons, two grown stepdaughters and one beautiful granddaughter.

My wife and I enjoy camping and hiking, riding motorcycles and playing tennis (and yes, winetasting..:)). I also love to play golf when I have the time.

I started P90X in July of 2008. I realized that I had not changed my workout routine for five years! I was doing the same thing every week. What a rut! I would go to the gym and lift maybe five times a week, go to a Bikram’s yoga class once or twice a week, and play tennis once or twice a week. None of my workouts were done with any intensity (except yoga!). My two sons both recommended I check out P90X. I did and I’m hooked! I continue to have great results!

My original goal was to be in the best shape of my life when I turn 60 (December 2009). But I’m already in the best shape I’ve ever been in! Now I have no reason to stop at 60! I wasn’t trying to lose weight, just redistribute it! But I lost five pounds (of fat) by the third week. I also thought I was too old to build muscle - WRONG! I just kept at it, pushing play and the benefits happen! Each week I try and do at least one more rep than I did the week before (a little tidbit from Tony Horton). It’s an amazing program. I’m currently in Round 4 combining P90X/X+/One on One workouts. My wife notices the changes in me more than I do (another bonus!).

If you’re just starting out - stick with it! Keep pushing play! Even if you can’t do one pull-up, as long as it’s the best you can do you’re still getting 100% of the benefits!
