I have been on many weight loss plans over the years. Most of my life I hovered at around 136 pounds. When I moved to Kansas I think I had a bit of trouble adjusting and I started packing on the weight and got up to 159 lbs (which by the way is the same weight I was 9 months pregnant, but I wasn't pregnant this time). I actually have my degree in Dietetics, but could not get the weight off. Finally, I lost 13 pounds using a low carb plan. Then when I could no longer do low carb, I switched to Weight Watchers and lost about 24 more. After I lost all that weight I felt so great about myself. I thought to myself, now I get it. I will never be heavy again. Just as quickly as I said that, I put back all 24 pounds. Over time I tried a variety of eating plans. Finally at the end of May 2008 I decided to refocus. I weighed about 138 and my goal was to get to 125. Over the next 4 to 5 months I worked hard and I passed that goal and hit a number I have not seen as an adult 118. When you finally get to or surpass your goal it really boosts your self confidence. What seemed impossible is now possible.
