AT 23 I WAS WORKING ON MY SECOND YEAR OUT OF THE MILITARY AND FOUND MYSELF GAINING WEIGHT AND UNABLE TO COMPLETE SIMPLE TASKS I WAS ABLE TO DO WITH MY EYES CLOSED WHILE IN THE SERVICE. I KEPT PUSHING IT OFF SAYING I WILL START NEXT WEEK. THEN FINALLY MY WAKE UP CALL CAME WHEN I FOUND NOT ONLY MY FATER, BUT TWO OF MY BROTHERS WERE DIAGNOSED WITH DIABETES.
