Normal, AK Hi! I recently moved from the midwest to Alaska! :) I have three pets and spend a lot of time doing animal resuce and finding homes for pets that have been abused. I love to laugh, read, swim, play video games....the list goes on and on! I also love to help others find the motivation to reach their goals...which is why I'm here!

I was merely going through the motions of life each day. Without realizing what I was doing to myself, I'd become an emotional eater. Food became my comfort, my escape, my friend. I was depressed, felt awful, and had high blood pressure which resulted in my being put on medication. I didn't like the thought of taking medicine every day.
I didn't like the person I saw staring back at me or the negative attitude I was seeing in myself more and more. I felt awful physically, my stress levels were so high I wasn't sleeping at night, I'd become a couch potato. I started a diet/exercise plan and was doing well. Then I got a divorce, moved, changed jobs - I managed to turn everything in my life upside down. Sometimes even though something is bad for you, you come to know a distorted sense of comfort in things that aren't healthy for you. I reverted back to eating junk food and skipping fitness. It wasn't long until I'd put back the weight I'd lost plus a good deal more. I was feeling sluggish and down about life. Once again I didn't like the person I'd become, and I didn't have the energy or motivation to do a thing about it.
I saw a Beach Body infomercial and was intrigued. I took a long, hard, and HONEST look at myself in the mirror. I had to get myself into the right mindset and take back my life. No more emotional eating, no more skipping exercise, no more of this negative attitude and lack of energy for life! I cleaned out the kitchen, stocked up on healthy foods, ordered Slim in 6 and set about making the changes I so desperately needed.
The hardest element was developing a positive mindset and the motivation to reprogram myself to fitness and healthy eating. I'd been doing the opposite for so long it was a struggle to reverse the bad habits. I was quick to throw in the towel if I had a day where I ate badly or missed exercising. Now instead of getting angry with myself or quitting, I pop in an exercise video. In no time I'm having a great workout that instantly makes me feel terrific!
I've lost 75lbs and a lot of inches so far. I'm not at the end of my weight loss journey yet. I've come a long way and feel AMAZING. I'm stronger, happier and healthier. I no longer have stress like before, I sleep better, I look forward to exercising, I have boundless energy, a positive attitude AND I'll soon be off my meds. I crave fruits and veggies, not fast food or sweets anymore! I absolutely LOVE the Beachbody products! I use Slim in 6, P90, Slimming Formula, ActiVit, the Club, WOWY, the amazing motivational resources available, my supportive coach and I look forward to 'pushing play' every day. Fitness and a healthy lifestyle have finally become the priority in my life that they should've always been!
