One day in April of last year my wife handed me a box that stated, "This is your gym for the next 90 days." It was the P90X workout. I scoffed, everyone knows that if you're going to get into shape, you're going to do it at the gym. With the pure adrenaline of free weights clanking together and testosterone in overdrive, not on the carpet in front of your television.

Wow, it's amazing how your perception can be so wrong! I went on to cancel six (6) gym memberships (my whole family); I've lost 5 belt sizes and 30 total pounds (which I never did in a gym) while working out with my family in a 8x8 foot space in my loft. No longer do I suffer from back problems, knee pain or ankle pain and I'm in the best shape of my life. I weigh the same as I did when I was in high school!! As for my strength and endurance,I recently played racquetball for the first time in 10 years and I felt like a pinball bouncing off the walls, twisting and turning like the old days.

I am currently in my second round of P90X - week two (2). My successes in this program have come from consistent P90X workouts 5-6 days a week. My eating habits are an important part of my success. From day one, I have been committed to eating more healthy and using Michi's ladder as a guideline. I've also incorporated Beach Body supplements including P90X Recovery formula; P90X performance pack; slimming formula and protein bars. My eating plan consists of a low glycemic load and rating. This program is now a way of everyday life for me. I have never been able to achieve this result in 20 years of working out hours on end in a traditional gym setting. Working out in WOWY with other members and seeing the fantastic results have been a great inspiration to me.

I am excited about continuing with this phenomenal system and I look forward to working out with my hero Tony Horton who regularly tells me, "Get ready cause it's comin!" Needless to say, aging is over rated!
