I'm 43 years old and making a determined effort to become fit.
Before Power 90®, I had been going to a gym when I could. I loved the classes, but it was difficult to adjust my work schedule around them. The classes took 1 hour plus travel time, so one workout was a big chunk of my limited free time. Ultimately, I ended up with sporatic but intense workouts, that were better than nothing but I'm 43 years old and making a determined effort to become fit.

The classes took 1 hour plus travel time, so one workout was a big chunk of my limited free time. Ultimately, I ended up with sporatic but intense workouts, that were better than nothing but not ideal. Working out a home is just much easier. Now I easily fit in at least 4 workouts a week, plus an evening power walk with my hubby.
I'm a Web Developer, which means many hours at the computer and a constant fight against carpal tunnel syndrome and poor posture. I love building websites, though, and would rather manage the downsides than switch careers.
Besides my work life, I love auto racing and met my husband while go kart racing against him. He is currently building a '65 Lotus Elan to go vintage racing with VARA. I'm a competitive skeet shooter. Surprisingly, it requires quite a bit of strength, agility, and concentration. I also love gardening, traveling, and hiking.

I've been quite thin all my life, but not very fit or flexible. My goal is to increase and tone muscle, to control those small "love handles" that are starting to take up residence on my waist, and to increase flexibility.
The hardest part has been working out consistently and controlling the munchies! Even with an occassional missed workout, though, I have seen progress. I've also discovered that if I don't get workout in that day, but at least do some stretching in the morning, I have far fewer backaches.
I'm not really dedicated to one program, but do a combination. I started out with Power 90. Now I alternate between Turbo Jam, Slim in 6, and Kathy Smith's Project:You.

09/22/09 Had a great jog with the dog this morning. She's a nice running companion except she wants to stop and sniff every 10 feet. View Journal
